Pseudo-elastic deformation behavior in a Ti/Mo-based alloy
It is shown that the pseudo-elastic response in a series of Ti–Mo–V–Nb–Al alloys with 8–11 wt.% Mo is highly sensitive to both composition and heat treatment. Recovery of up to 3.0% strain has been observed but it appears that this may not be due to reversible formation of a00 martensite. 2003 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. متن کاملHot Deformation Behavior and Microstructural Evolution Characteristics of Ti-44Al-5V-1Cr Alloy Containing ( + 2 + B2) Phases
The hot deformation behavior and microstructural evolution of Ti-44Al-5V-1Cr alloy were investigated by hot compression tests at temperatures of 1000–1250 ◦C and strain rates of 0.001–1 s−1. It was indicated that the dependence of peak stress on deformation temperature and strain rate could be accurately described by a hyperbolic sine type equation. The activation energy, Q, was estimated to be...
متن کاملMicrostructural Evaluation of Ti-6AL-4V Alloy during Hot Deformation
Among the titanium alloys, Ti-6Al-4V is the most widely used. In the present work, the uniaxial hot compressive behavior of Ti-6Al-4V has been investigated under constant strain rates. A series of dilatometery experiments were carried out to determine the transformation temperatures at different cooling rates. Specimens were homogenized at 1050 °C for 10 minutes followed by fast cooling to dif...

متن کاملA comparative study on constitutive modeling of hot deformation flow curves in AZ91 magnesium alloy
Modeling the flow curves of materials at elevated temperatures is the first step in mathematical simulation of the hot deformation processes of them. In this work a comparative study was provided to examine the capability of three different constitutive equations in modeling the hot deformation flow curves of AZ91 magnesium alloy. For this, the Arrhenius equation with strain dependent constants...
